OmniBox Privacy Policy

Applies to: the OmniBox browser extension (Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome and Edge)
OmniBox is a lightweight browser toolbox from Z Studio. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the extension. Our principles: local processing by default; no account system; your files and text are not uploaded to Z Studio servers.
1. Information we collect
We do not actively collect personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number, and we do not upload images, documents, JSON, or other work content you process in the extension to Z Studio servers.
The extension may temporarily process or display the following on your device:

Not included: accounts, cloud sync, analytics/telemetry, advertising IDs, or cross-site tracking.
2. Processing and network transfer
Core features (image compress/convert/watermark/crop, JSON format/minify/validate, PDF ↔ Word conversion, screen color picking) run locally in your browser.
- Content is not sent to or stored by Z Studio.
- No sign-in is required for current local tools.
- Screen picking uses the browser EyeDropper API after you start a pick; colors are shown/copied locally only.
- Clipboard is written only when you explicitly copy a value.
This version does not ship optional AI or other features that transmit your work content to third-party cloud services. If such features are added later, we will disclose them before use and require your affirmative setup/consent.
Extension stores, operating systems, or browsers may handle install/update/crash reports under their own policies; that is separate from collection by Z Studio described above.
3. Purpose of use
- Provide local toolbox features
- Show results and necessary status in the side panel
- Product improvement based only on feedback you voluntarily send; we do not instrument usage analytics in the extension
4. Permissions
Permissions follow the installed package manifest. Design goal: minimum necessary.

We do not request unrelated host permissions for local tools. Material permission changes will be reflected in store listing and this policy.
5. Storage, retention, and deletion
- Files are processed in memory by default; results are written to disk only when you download them.
- Session state such as recent colors is not persisted to
chrome.storage/ IndexedDB in the current implementation; closing the side panel typically clears it. - Uninstalling removes extension data per browser practice; files you already saved remain under your control.
- Keep your device secure, especially when handling sensitive documents.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or share content you process in OmniBox with third parties, except where required by law or when you voluntarily provide materials to others. Store purchases, reviews, and store accounts are governed by the respective store.
7. Your choices
You control source files and downloads; you may clear inputs, close the panel, disable, or uninstall the extension at any time.
8. Children’s privacy
The product is intended for general productivity use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
9. Changes
Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use means you acknowledge the updated policy; otherwise stop using or uninstall the extension.
